DESCRIPTION
Folkloric characters such as Saci, Boitatá, and Curupira are well-known in popular culture. For the Tukano people, these characters represent the great protective spirit of the forest. These spirits do not get along well with humanity due to the destruction of their sacred spaces. Although they have retreated, they continue to protect the forest in their own way.
